The Inter-Regional Darkhan-EU Forum (IDEF, platform for inter-regional cooperation between European Union and Darkhan-Uul Province, to promote greater collaboration and expertise between EU- Darkhan, local authorities, universities, SMEs and startups, set to it’s journey on 30th October’2022.
The mission, will deliver the opportunities to officials of local government of Darkhan-Uul Province Municipality, SMEs, Startups, University, member, and advisory group members of IDEF, to gather, share and exchange on topics of innovation, greening of cities, entrepreneurship promotion and business acceleration/start-ups within the framework of FRIENDSHIP Project signed with European Union
The FRIENDSHIP project with a commitment to capacitate 200 officials from provincial municipality from Darkhan-Uul Province and other municipality from the province is expecting to engage with European municipalities and regions through capacity building, peer to peer and exchange programme. The IDEF Network Meeting in European Union is expected to empower the Mongolian Delegation members. The delegation through this mission will also organize, its, 1st formal, IDEF Network meeting with members of IDEF Executive Committee with diverse expertise and background policymakers, academia, EU member states nominated persons from EU member states and international experts. innovation, greening of cities, entrepreneurship promotion and business acceleration/start-ups and additional inter-linking areas such as skill building, employment, inclusiveness.
The meeting will also discuss and present the Rapid Assessment Report on Joint Area of Cooperation (RAR-JAC) with commitment and pledge to set-up a new roadmap for FRIENDSHIP Project to identify, facilitate and implement policy and cooperation projects between the EU- Darkhan-Uul Province. One of the members from the each of the 5 Sub-committees will provide feedback to the executive committee to set-up more holistic agenda FRIEDNSHIP Project in journey to innovation prosperity for the city and region of Darkhan-Uul. The member of the delegations is expected to deliver and share their learning and experience is formal meeting in Darkhan-Uul Province in Institutional leadership of DUPM and SAB MULS. The mission will seek to build partnership among cities, regions, universities, enterprises, and non-profits.
The mission will be an opportunity to explore technical assistance support and financing based on the 1st Best Practice Forum in Darkhan-Uul Province, between June 27 to July 4th 2022, in Darkhan-Uul Province. The EU mission is an effort with objective to deliver commitment to FRIENDSHIP Project through 2nd Best practice Forum” 1st EU Case Study Visit and 1st IDEF Network meeting to be organized in Turkish, Croatia, and Slovenia between Nov 2nd to 9th of 2022.
The Executive Committee members meeting of the Interregional Darkhan Europe Forum (IDEF) of the Friendship project, will be held in hybrid (online and physically) in Rijeka, Slovenia on Nov 4th, 2022.
